The Sarajevo Museum was visited by the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth, Prof. Dr. Du\u0161anka Bo\u0161kovi\u0107, accompanied by Mr. Sci. Azemina Njuhovi\u0107, Assistant Minister for Science. On this occasion, a meeting was held with the Director of the Sarajevo Museum, Indira Ku\u010duk-Sorgu\u010d, during which discussions focused on the Museum\u2019s current activities, the present state of its scientific-research and artistic-research work, as well as upcoming projects of this important cantonal museological institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special attention was given to the scientific publishing activities of the Sarajevo Museum, particularly the publication of the scholarly journal Contributions to the Study of the History of Sarajevo, which represents an important segment in the preservation and research of Sarajevo\u2019s cultural and historical heritage. Director Ku\u010duk-Sorgu\u010d emphasized that the Sarajevo Museum is diligently and systematically working on the digitalization of its documentary and library collections, as well as on harmonizing procedures in accordance with journal indexation criteria. This represents one of the prerequisites for the Museum\u2019s eligibility to apply for research and development projects and programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Bo\u0161kovi\u0107 highlighted that she recognizes the values and results of the reform processes that have been visible at the Sarajevo Museum over the past several years, especially in the implementation of key scientific and educational projects focused on the research of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the City of Sarajevo and Sarajevo Canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also stressed the importance of finding systemic solutions to ensure stronger and more continuous support for cultural and scientific-research institutions, noting that these institutions serve as representatives of the state and as one of the most important reflections of its overall social and educational system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
