JU Museum of Sarajevo, as one of the key institutions dedicated to the preservation and scholarly study of cultural and historical heritage, continuously reaffirms its role as a relevant scientific and research center. In cooperation with the Center for Historical Research (CeHiS), the Museum is organizing a scientific conference titled \u201cThe Area of Present-Day Sarajevo in Antiquity\u201d<\/p>\n

With this event, the Museum of Sarajevo further confirms its importance as a meeting place for experts, the exchange of knowledge, and the presentation of contemporary research in the fields of archaeology and ancient history. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the conference will offer new interpretations and deepen understanding of the Roman heritage of the Sarajevo area<\/p>\n

The conference program is divided into two thematic sessions:<\/p>\n

Session I: Archaeology of the Sarajevo Area in Roman Times<\/p>\n

Dina Vajzovi\u0107-Balihod\u017ei\u0107: Everyday life in the area of present-day Sarajevo through the prism of archaeological finds<\/p>\n

Jasenko Had\u017eihasanovi\u0107: The speech of silver and the whisper of copper \u2013 A report on the circulation of Roman coins from the site of Aquae S<\/p>\n

Session II: Roman Sarajevo \u2013 Religion and Cultural Heritage<\/p>\n
