On the occasion of International Museum Day, the Museum of Sarajevo has prepared a special programme featuring free admission to all museum annexes, guided tours, and special activities for all visitors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brusa Bezistan and the Sarajevo Museum 1878\u20131918 will be open until 8:00 PM, while the Museum of the Jews of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Svrzo\u2019s House, and Despi\u0107 House will be open from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the unique ambience of Svrzo\u2019s House, a new permanent exhibition of scale models from the Museum of Sarajevo collection will be officially opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This special exhibition tells the story of Sarajevo\u2019s past through carefully crafted models depicting Ba\u0161\u010dar\u0161ija, old Sarajevo mahallas, traditional houses, and summer residences of prominent families. The models are original works by distinguished model makers Husein Kari\u0161ik and Mesud Sari\u0107, whose creations represent a remarkable blend of art, knowledge, and exceptional technical precision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exhibition not only revives the city\u2019s former appearance but also recalls parts of Sarajevo that have disappeared or significantly changed over time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s theme also marks the 80th anniversary of ICOM, celebrating decades of international cooperation and dedication to museums and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
