The artwork depicts one of the most significant examples of Ottoman architecture in Sarajevo \u2013 the Gazi Husrev-bey\u2019s Hammam, built in the 16th century as part of the great endowment complex established by Gazi Husrev-bey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For centuries, the hammam served as a public bathhouse and an important social gathering place for the citizens of Sarajevo. Its distinctive domes, which dominate Selmanovi\u0107\u2019s composition, remain a recognizable symbol of Sarajevo\u2019s urban heritage.
