Yesterday, the Novi Grad Municipality Gallery opened the exhibition of caricature portraits by Alija Hafizović Haf, titled “Sarajevo, My Love.” In his recognizable caricature style—through exaggeration and the highlighting of physical features or professions—Haf portrayed numerous figures who shaped the mosaic of Sarajevo’s everyday life.
The Director of the Museum of Sarajevo, Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of the culture of remembrance and preserving the personalities who marked a significant part of Sarajevo’s past. Naliha Šabanović spoke on behalf of the Novi Grad Municipality, and the exhibition’s author, Hamdija Dizdar, also addressed the visitors.
The musical program featured performances by:
Nihad Granov – vocal soloist
Fatih Crnkić – guitarist
Students of the IMTM School, mentored by professors Dino Mangafić and Ajsel Zoranjić, who performed the song “Sarajevo, My Love.”
The exhibition will remain open from November 18 to November 28, 2025, every day from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Novi Grad Municipality Gallery.
