SEVDAH AT SVRZO'S HOUSE
Last night, in the beautiful setting of Svrzo's house, the first in a series of summer concerts by Damir Imamović — a renowned performer and author of sevdalinka — was held. It was an evening filled with emotion, voice, and poetry, where every note reminded the audience of the richness of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s intangible cultural heritage. The repertoire included songs such as “Vihor ružu niz polje tjeraše,” “Moj beharu,” “Salko Jelku u sejmene mami,” “Sejdefu majka buđaše,” “Oj, Vesela, Veselice,” and many others.
“It was a wonderful night. The audience was incredibly present and open, and the space of Svrzo's house once again proved its uniqueness and strength. This first concert gave me even more inspiration, and I’m already looking forward to the upcoming Wednesdays. Each of them will bring its own story, guests, and songs the audience hasn’t had the chance to hear live before,” said Imamović after the concert.
The next concert is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9th at 9:00 PM.
