Our heritage comes first. The Museum proves this every day. We invested great efforts during the winter months to complete the second—and most extensive—phase of works on the revitalization and reconstruction of Buildings B and C at Svrzo’s House. Our beauty is now secure when it comes to the roof. All works were carried out in accordance with strict criteria for the protection of cultural and historical heritage and national monuments.
One smaller intervention remains on Buildings D and F, which, if everything proceeds as planned, we expect to complete by the summer season, along with the restoration of the entrance doors and the enhancement of the permanent exhibition.
Svrzo’s House is the most precious three-century-old residential complex of which Sarajevo can be proud. It is carefully preserved by the Museum of Sarajevo and its founder, the Canton Sarajevo / Ministry of Culture and Sport.
