This year marks thirty years since the genocide in Srebrenica. To commemorate this solemn anniversary, the Museum of Sarajevo is organizing the exhibition “Potočarske sjene” by Velija Hasanbegović, which, through art and symbolism, offers a quiet yet powerful reminder of the lives lost, the collective memory, and the responsibility we bear toward truth and remembrance.

The exhibition will be set up outdoors along the Miljacka river promenade, from Careva Ćuprija (Emperor’s Bridge) to Ćumurija Bridge – along Obala Isa-beg Ishaković and the Promenade of hadži Hafiz Halid Hadžimulić, and will be on view from July 10 to July 20, 2025.
