The Sarajevo Museum today welcomed a dear friend of the institution, Mehmedalija “Medo” Karić, who in 2019 organised a large and highly successful exhibition of the Sarajevo Museum in Värnamo, Sweden. On that occasion, the culture, history, and rich heritage of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina were presented to the Swedish public in a way that filled many Bosnians living in Sweden with pride.
During today’s visit, the Director of the Sarajevo Museum, Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, expressed her gratitude to Medo Karić and his wife Razija for their long-standing dedication, support, and activism, and presented them with the Museum’s monograph as a token of appreciation.
The Sarajevo Museum has friends all over the world – and one of them, a special and long-standing one, is our Medo.
