Preserved in the 20th Century Collection of the Sarajevo Museum is the student index of Remzija Omanović, a testimony to interrupted education and a youth shaped by war. Born in Cazin and active in Sarajevo, Remzija Omanović was a participant in the National Liberation Movement and a prominent antifascist. During the war, he was imprisoned in the Stara Gradiška concentration camp, from which he took part in an organized escape in 1943. He died in 1944 as a result of the consequences of imprisonment.
His sister Razija, awarded the Order of the National Hero, joined the Communist Party and the National Liberation Movement under his influence.
This artifact preserves the memory of the antifascist struggle and the values of freedom upheld by generations of young people.
