Last night, in the Ex Ponto space in Travnik, the Bosnian Cultural Circle organized the promotion of the fourth issue of the magazine “Novi Divan.”
The promoter of this edition was Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, Director of the Museum of Sarajevo, while the editorial team was represented by Fatima Maslić, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, and Dženan Dautović.
The event took place in a warm and inspiring atmosphere – filled with conversations about writing, memory, and culture, and accompanied by the paintings of Travnik artist Mersiha Ščetić, whose exhibition was opened as part of the event.
As Indira Kučuk-Sorguč pointed out:
"The fourth issue of Novi Divan is not just a local magazine – it is a regional archive in continuous development, a blend of research, memory, and art. From recipes and cheeses to sevdalinka songs, archival files, and international connections – Issue No. 4 presents Travnik as a crossroads of microhistory and broader cultural memory. For those who wish to understand how a city defends itself from oblivion through stories and research, this edition offers numerous entry points, reminiscences, and inspirations.
I am looking forward to the fifth issue of Novi Divan.
Congratulations to the editorial team of the Bosnian Cultural Circle and all the authors for their contribution to the realization of this highly educational and cultural magazine.”
Also present at the event were museum advisors Adnan Muftarević and Mirsad Avdić.
