Young People Tell Sarajevo Through Art, Photography and Sound

Today, the exhibition "Tell Sarajevo: Through Photos, Sounds and Comics" was opened at Brusa Bezistan. The exhibition is the final result of the project of the same name, realized through the cooperation of the Sarajevo Museum, the Secondary School of Applied Arts Sarajevo, and the Secondary Technical School of Graphic Technologies, Design and Multimedia Ilidža.

Through comics, photography, art remakes, podcasts, and short documentary films, students explored the museum collections and stories of Sarajevo, transforming them into new and contemporary narratives. After visiting the Sarajevo Museum's depandances and becoming acquainted with the city's cultural and historical heritage, the young authors offered their own interpretations of museum material, demonstrating that heritage is not merely a record of the past, but a living story that continues to inspire.

This project once again confirms the importance of children and young people visiting museums, learning about their cultural heritage, and actively participating in its preservation and presentation. Through their work, the students became ambassadors of Sarajevo's cultural heritage, giving it a new voice and new meaning.

We extend our gratitude to all students, teachers, and collaborators who contributed to the realization of the project. The project's authors, coordinators, and moderators are Selma Oruč and Dženana Kurtović.

The exhibition can be visited at Brusa Bezistan.
