On 26th August at noon, a press conference was held at Svrzo’s House to mark the conclusion of the second year of the project “Damir Imamović’s Sevdah at Svrzo’s House.” The media were addressed by maestro Damir Imamović, Director of the Public Institution Museum of Sarajevo Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, Federal Minister of Environment and Tourism Nasiha Pozder, and Nedim Lipa on behalf of the Sarajevo Navigator Foundation.
Tonight’s concert will bring to a successful close a series of 18 consecutive sold-out concerts, held every Wednesday at 9 p.m. and attended by visitors from as many as 25 countries. This event is exceptionally important not only for the development of tourism in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for the preservation, cultivation, and promotion of our country’s cultural and historical heritage.
The Museum of Sarajevo sincerely thanks maestro Damir Imamović, the project’s initiators and organizers, and everyone who contributed to its success. We look forward to next year and another opportunity to host this remarkable event.
