It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in celebrating the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Museum of Sarajevo on Thursday, February 19, 2026.
For 77 years, the Museum of Sarajevo has preserved the collective memory of our city, connecting the past with the present and bearing witness to Sarajevo’s rich, layered, and unique history. This important anniversary is an opportunity to celebrate together the heritage that belongs to us all.
On this occasion, February 19, 2026, admission will be FREE to all museum annexes: Brusa Bezistan, Despić House, Svrzo House, Sarajevo Museum 1878–1918 and Museum of the Jews of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A special program awaits you at Despić House:
A children’s performance, “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats”, at 12:00 p.m.
- Workshop: “Theatre Scene Improvisation” at 1:00 p.m.
We warmly invite all citizens of Sarajevo, families, children, young people, and dear guests of our city to celebrate this important jubilee with us.
