Last night, a lecture by Dr. Edin Omerčić titled “Reintegration of Sarajevo” was held at the Sarajevo 1878–1918 Museum. Although 30 years have passed since the occupied parts of Sarajevo were returned to the city’s core after the cruelest siege of a city in modern history, this topic remains exceptionally important for the people of Sarajevo, as reflected in press statements from 1996. Dr. Omerčić reconstructed the period from the Dayton Agreement until the end of March 1996, when the designated territories were reintegrated into the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
