On Wednesday, July 1 at 9:00 PM, the first concert of this year’s concert series, “Damir Imamović’s Sevdah at Svrzo’s House”, will take place in the unique ambiance of Svrzo’s House.
Joining Damir Imamović, one of the most prominent contemporary interpreters of sevdalinka, will be renowned musicians Vasil Hadžimanov and Aleksandar Petrov, bringing audiences an unforgettable evening filled with emotion, tradition, and outstanding music.
In the courtyard of Svrzo’s House, where sevdalinka once echoed through the courtyards and gardens of old Sarajevo, visitors will have the opportunity to experience this UNESCO-recognized element of intangible cultural heritage in a truly special way – in the very setting where its story was born.
Svrzo’s House, one of the most valuable national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a branch of the Museum of Sarajevo, has borne witness to Sarajevo’s rich history and culture for more than three centuries. For this reason, the union of sevdalinka and this remarkable historic museum space offers a unique cultural and sensory experience not to be missed.
