JU Museum of Sarajevo, as one of the key institutions dedicated to the preservation and scholarly study of cultural and historical heritage, continuously reaffirms its role as a relevant scientific and research center. In cooperation with the Center for Historical Research (CeHiS), the Museum is organizing a scientific conference titled “The Area of Present-Day Sarajevo in Antiquity”
With this event, the Museum of Sarajevo further confirms its importance as a meeting place for experts, the exchange of knowledge, and the presentation of contemporary research in the fields of archaeology and ancient history. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the conference will offer new interpretations and deepen understanding of the Roman heritage of the Sarajevo area
The conference program is divided into two thematic sessions:
